Policies & Procedures
We intend to provide our clients with professional and therapeutic services. The following policies and procedures serve as a guide for first-time and repeating clients of A Better Way Massage.
We strongly believe that your time is valuable, as is ours. We make every attempt to be ready for your appointment at the scheduled time. In our commitment to providing a unique and outstanding massage experience and in consideration of our therapists’ time, we have adopted the following policies.
Cancellation, No-Show Policy
Please provide at least 24-hour notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a treatment. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours, or fails to show up for a scheduled appointment, a $50 fee will be incurred, regardless of appointment type or length. You will be responsible for payment of the fee prior to any future appointments. If a client fails to cancel within 24 hours multiple times (2 or more), they may be asked to pre-pay for future services.
Safe & Inclusive Environment
Acknowledging every person and their experience is tremendously important to the health and wellbeing of our species. We aim to embody this in our practice. A safe and inclusive environment is one where you feel respected, valued, and supported regardless of your background, identity, or ability. There is no place for racism, sexism, homophobia, bigotry, fatphobia, shaming, judging or assuming in health and well-being. Please don’t bring it here.
Professional & Therapeutic Massage
At ABWM we provide healthful, professional services. It is our responsibility and desire to maintain a safe environment for everyone (employees and clients alike). If you are deemed to be acting in an unsafe manner, the following may be a result of your actions: ending a session/treatment early, transferring your care to a different therapist, terminating your access to the clinic, and/or contacting proper authorities. Unsafe behavior may include, but is not limited to: sexual advances, inappropriate conversation, aggressive or disrupting language or behavior, etc.
Arriving for Your Appointment
Please arrive for your appointment 10 minutes before the scheduled starting time. This allows you enough time to fill out the appropriate client form (new clients), intake/update conversations with your therapist, and prepare for the service. An early arrival can allow for a more relaxed experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened or rescheduled to keep the office on schedule; you will still be responsible for the entire price of the originally scheduled treatment.
